Ornithological tourism
The strategic geographical location of the Iberian Peninsula, a "highway" for birds between two continents, Europe and Africa, makes it one of the main migratory routes for millions of birds that breed in summer in northern and central Europe, and that migrate in winter to warmer areas in Africa; even many of them do it in Spain.
The growing interest in bird watching is evident in the numerous visits that Bornos receives for this reason, with the Tail of the Bornos Reservoir being one of the favorite places for bird watching.
